See the Education System in Akwa Ibom State, the State with the Largest Monthly Allocation in Nigeria

This is the definition of Free and Compulsory Education in Akwa Ibom State at Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Four Towns, Abak Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. This is what you obtain practically in every public school in Akwa Ibom State.

It's rather pathetic. For me, there's no need for this propaganda termed "Free and Compulsory Education".

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Asinim Butswat, of The Bayelsa State Police Command has debunked reports that former President Jonathan was attacked in his state. According to him, a group of hungry youths mistook a convoy of the former President for one of the governorship candidate on electioneering ahead of the December 5 election.

They followed the convoy perhaps for alms, only to discover it was that of Jonathan. When they realized this, the youths, who had followed him up to his house in Yenagoa, pulled back and ran away. Security operatives however ran after them and arrested some of them. They did not attack the convoy and no weapon was found on them.

The Oyo state police command have arrested and paraded one Wasiu Adetunji Lawal, a middle aged man who went to a church in search of a wife but ended up stealing and selling off the vehicle of the church pastor in Ibadan, Oyo state. Paraded along with Wasiu Adetunji Lawal, Isiaka Babatunde, Jamiu Rahman, Wasiu Adelani and Abdulazeez Ahmed.

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has ordered a probe into the financial activities of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron, Akwa Ibom State and N18 billion remittances to the institution by the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) in the last five years. Amaechi gave the order following allegations of financial recklessness and large scale fraud leveled against the academy’s rector, Joshua Okpo.

An unspecified number of girls have reportedly been abducted by Boko Haram members after an attack in Bam Village which is about 7 kilometres away from Buratai village, the hometown of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai in Borno state.

An Ethiopian Man Builds a Plane using Tutorial Videos & Aircraft Manuals

An Ethiopian man, Asmelash Zeferu has built a plane with tutorial videos on YouTube. 35-year-old Zeferu's childhood dream was to become a pilot but he was rejected by the Ethiopian Airlines Aviation Academy and since he couldn't realize his dream, he decided to build a plane.

Tutu on his part thank the prince for his commitment to the fight against AIDS. The Archbishop now joins the list of other recipients such as David Attenborough, Stephen Hawking and Harold Pinter.

The hearing on the suit against Synagogue Pastor, T.B Joshua and his engineers over the September 2014 church building collapse has been adjourned to December 11th by Justice Lawal Akapo of the Lagos State High Court. Nigerian-American singer Jidenna won Best New Artist at the 2015 Soul Train Awards held on Sunday, November 29. While accepting his award, Jidenna recalled how his father pushed him to be the best. Pope Francis Visits Mosque in Central African Republic

Pope Francis this morning visited a mosque at the Central African Republic, the last country he will be visiting in Africa. Pope Francis met with Muslim leaders and Muslim faithfuls at the central Koudoukou mosque in the PK5 district, the last Muslim enclave in Bangui. He rode his motorcade with some Muslim leaders as he made his way to the mosque.

In two separate Boko Haram attacks, seven people including a soldier, were killed in both Bam and Gajigana villages of Biu and Magumeri Local Government Areas of Borno State, while an unspecified number of teenage girls were abducted in Bam Village. Several more people were injured in Gajigana village after insurgents set ablaze shops and houses without confrontation.

A resident of the area who fled to Miringa town for safety, Mallam Ali Bam, said that the insurgents went to the village at about 3:30 am on the weekend and set the whole village ablaze.

He said:
