Pence's Neighbor Trolls Him With "Make America Guy Again"

Neighbors of the home near Aspen where Vice President Mike Pence and his wife are staying welcomed them with a message hung on their home: “Make America Gay Again.”

The Aspen Times reports that the people staying at the home next to Pence draped the banner over a pillar at the end of the driveways for both homes.
Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo said his deputies and Secret Service agents were there when a man from the home put the banner up.
“He was real sheepish and thought he might be confronted by the Secret Service or deputies who’d tell him he couldn’t do it,” DiSalvo said. “When they said, ‘We’re not here to control your free speech rights,’ they came out with chili and began feeding them. They’ve been really nice to us.”
A woman who is staying at the home told the Aspen Times that the banners “were actually hung by the daughters of the couple who live in the home, and one of their girlfriends (I’m one of them!) with the full support of their parents.”
Pence is staying in Aspen until Monday. “This town had a history of irreverence when it came to our visitors,” DiSalvo said. “We seem to have lost that a bit, but this is an extension of that.”
